Cynthia Rocha is a dedicated advocate for educational access and workforce opportunity, committed to empowering students and families to reach their full potential. As the daughter of migrant parents, she brings a deeply personal passion to supporting first-generation and underrepresented communities.
She serves as Interim Executive Director of Institutional Advancement and Senior Director of Alumni Relations, Family and Community Relations at Our Lady of the Lake University, where she leads strategic development and engagement efforts to advance student success and community impact. In this expanded role, Cynthia provides leadership and continuity across Advancement, overseeing alumni engagement, fundraising, and donor relations. Her deep institutional knowledge, strong relationships, and proven leadership position her to guide the university’s efforts during this transitional period.
With more than 20 years of professional experience, Cynthia is a respected leader in operations, training and development, public relations, and multicultural engagement. She is known for helping organizations translate their commitment to inclusion into impactful, measurable outcomes.

Outside Interests
A recognized community leader, Cynthia serves as Chair of SOMOS Cultural y Más and has held numerous advisory and leadership roles focused on education and workforce development. She is a former Trustee of Our Lady of the Lake University and has also served on the Baylor University Alumni Association Board. She is a graduate of several distinguished leadership programs, including the National Hispana Leadership Institute at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. She and her husband are proud parents to Antonio Daniel and Catalina Paloma.
