Major: Mass Communication with a minor Public Relations
Campus Activities and Achievements: Editor-in-Chief and Student Journalist for Lake Front Media; Broadcasting Assistant for several events including three commencement ceremonies; Event Planner for several events including OLLU’s Mass Commference and Flight School. 

Impact of OLLU: OLLU has impacted my life by allowing me to grow academically, professionally, and personally. I feel extremely lucky to have had an outstanding support system of colleagues and professors here at OLLU. The Mass Communication undergraduate program has not been without challenges, but it has provided me with an opportunity to explore multiple areas within the media realm. I’ve been afforded multiple opportunities to utilize the skills I’ve learned in my coursework and apply them to real-world situations. OLLU has changed me and my perspective on my future! 

An important life lesson: The importance of networking! Relationships take years to build but seconds to ruin! It takes a village sometimes to plan and execute your ideas and turn them into reality. Networking can provide you with job opportunities, access to additional resources and even help you find a mentor in your area of interest.  

Plans for the future: I hope to make a real impact and continue to create meaningful connections. I want to use my degree and experiences to connect with others, share stories and evoke emotions through my creativity and work! I am exploring several options, but I also don’t want to rush the process of what to do next. Ultimately my aim is to work for a financial firm as an account executive or do public affairs for the government.
