Major: Dual Degrees in Social Work and Interdisciplinary Studies - EC-6 Certification/ with specializations in English as a Second Language and Special Education
Campus Activities and Achievements: I was honored to practice my clinical teaching at Carvajal Elementary School. I worked with the brightest students and the most professional educational rock stars (teachers). In the BSW program, I worked with the Crisis Text Line (CTL) as a crisis counselor. The CTL mission is: "At the intersection of empathy and innovation- we promote mental well-being for people wherever they are."

Impact of OLLU: OLLU has been a huge component of my success. The professors and staff have guided me throughout my college journey. OLLU has also provided me with opportunities to expand into my career field and connect with hiring districts.

Impact of OLLU: OLLU has impacted my life in several different ways. The first being my professors, who were such a huge part of my successes and getting me to where I am today. They were always patient with me even when I had away games; they always seemed to make it work for me. I would like to give a special shout-out to Dr. James Hall, Dr. Alexander Hutchison, Dr. Julio Guerrero and Dr. Randy Dietz. Next, I would like to acknowledge the support from all the staff and maintenance people. Lastly, I enjoyed all the wonderful people I met and crossed paths with throughout my time at OLLU. I will forever cherish every moment I had with each and every one.

Impact of OLLU: I have built lasting connections, gotten to know my teachers more, learned from my professor's life experiences, and have grown into the woman I am today because of all of the great people supporting me.

Impact of OLLU: OLLU has impacted my life by opening up many opportunities out in my preferred field, and even in fields that are not in my major. Also, being here has allowed me to be more social among others and maintain strong personal and interpersonal relationships.
Major: Political Science with a minor in Sociology
Campus Activities and Achievements: I have been involved in an internship at the Bexar County Criminal District Attorney's Office as well as an OLLU Admissions Tour Guide.
Impact of OLLU: OLLU has impacted my life by considering the little things and how personal you can make your education. The personal connection you make with the staff at the university makes you more than just a number on this campus but a family.
Major: Psychology Pre-Counseling and Comparative Mexican American Studies
Campus Activities and Achievements: I was a part of Active Minds, a mental advocacy group on campus, for three years and was the president my junior year. I am also an active member of the Mexican American Student Association and am currently the president for the organization. I worked in the University's Counseling services all four years, as well.
Impact of OLLU: I have been exposed to so much knowledge and have grown a lot in my critical thinking, I have had great mentors (Shout out to Dr. Candace Zepeda and Dr. Aimee Villarreal), and I have created beautiful friendships with people.
Major: Theology and Spiritual Action with a minor in Political Science

Impact of OLLU: OLLU has impacted me in so many ways. It has allowed me to grow both academically and spiritually. It has taught me the value of community, it really did take a village to help me get to where I am now. A special thanks to the Division of Mission and Ministry for being a huge part of that community.
