OLLU Launches New Digital-First Textbook Program

Apr 26, 2025

Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) is excited to announce the launch of the Digital-First Textbook Program, an innovative initiative designed to make course materials more affordable and accessible for students.

Beginning Summer 2025, all registered (in participating courses) undergraduate students will automatically be enrolled in the program. The Digital-First Textbook Program bundles the cost of required textbooks and course materials directly into students’ tuition and fees. This approach ensures that every student has access to their materials on or before the first day of class, eliminating the need for out-of-pocket textbook purchases or last-minute shopping.

Key Benefits of the Digital-First Textbook Program include:

  • Convenient Access: Students will receive digital versions of textbooks through their Blackboard site.
  • Significant Cost Savings: Bundled pricing offers students materials at a fraction of typical retail prices.
  • Academic Readiness: Students will be fully prepared for coursework starting the first day of class.

Students who do not wish to participate have the option to opt out of the program each semester during the opt out period. Additional details about opting out, pricing, and FAQs are available on the Digital-First Textbook Program webpage.

OLLU remains committed to providing innovative solutions that support student success, making higher education more affordable, equitable, and accessible to all.
