Twenty-four professors and staff members got together via Skype to create the video dancing and lip-synching to “Sunday Best” and “Count on Me”.

Posted on the Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) Facebook page on Thursday afternoon, the heart-tugging video logged more than 2,200 views within 90 minutes. The video also drew hundreds of likes, shares and comments.

“This made me cry, too,” one viewer wrote. “I loved it!!”

Inspired by a conversation with two colleagues, OLLU events manager Elizabeth Longoria directed and produced the video.

“It took me a couple of days to plan it,” Longoria said, “and 18 hours to direct 24 folks and produce.”

The video required extensive collaboration with each faculty and staff member.

“I Skyped with each person for about 15 minutes,” Longoria said. “I explained how to film with their phone and what to do to act out their part. I then gathered all the videos and put them together.”

In the end, the video accomplished Longoria’s goal.

“I wanted to send students a positive message that we miss them and care about them and that they are not alone,” she said. “It is fulfilling to know that everyone is enjoying the video and that it is bringing joy and creating togetherness during this difficult time.”

The video was shared through the official OLLU social media accounts and can be viewed on the OLLU YouTube Channel .
