OLLU receives $100,000 estate gift

Oct 25, 2019

Fifty years after graduating from Our Lady of the Lake College, Grover Causby (MSW 1969) has bequeathed an estate gift of $102,985 that will benefit students and programs at his alma mater.

A resident of Dalton, Ga., Causby passed away in May at the age of 89. A regular donor to OLLU over the years, Causby made his donation through a living trust.

A number of alumni have chosen to bequeath legacy gifts. Planned giving is one way to advance the mission established by the Congregation of Divine Providence in 1895.

“We are extremely grateful for this thoughtful and generous gift,” said OLLU president Diane Melby, EdD. “Grover Causby’s life was impacted by the Worden School of Social Service in such a way that he wanted to help the next generation of students.”
