Students can qualify to sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination by earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Professional Accounting. CPAs play vital decision-making roles in virtually all companies, including manufacturing and service companies, sports and entertainment companies, dot-com startups and nonprofit organizations. In addition, CPAs hold leadership positions in other areas such as education, government, law enforcement, and, of course, public accounting.

Those who are not interested in the CPA credential may prefer the Accounting major.
