RIGHT FOOT WEEK 2013 EVENTS

During the first week of classes, Right Foot Week helps students get the academic year started on the right foot. Take part in a special welcoming ceremony; laugh, eat and dance at entertainment events; learn about on-campus services offered at the library and student success center; cheer for the University's sports teams; and learn how to get involved in OLLU's student organizations.

Leadership Institute for Freshman Excellence (LIFE) – Applications Available, Worden 25

Navigate the exciting college journey! Incoming freshmen should stop by the Student Leadership and Development Office to obtain applications to participate in the L.I.F.E. leadership program. The fall semester program provides a leadership training session, overnight off-campus retreat and connection with an upper-class mentor. Program links participants to campus involvement opportunities and assists with college transition issues. Applications are due on Friday, Sept. 6.

Stop by the one-day only poster print sale to pick up artwork for your room or office.

Enjoy a free burger with the brothers of Sigma Theta Epsilon, National Christian Fraternity, and receive the scripture of the day.

Stop by the Elliott House during this open house to meet with the Division of Mission and Ministry staff and some of the Sisters of Divine Providence, who helped create the legacy of the University, while enjoying some delicious home-baked desserts!

Come join in the Zumba fun today and continue the fitness journey every Tuesday (and Thursday) all semester long.

SLD Headphone Disco Jam Party, 8-10 p.m., Library Circle
Celebrate the Student Leadership and Development Office relocation to the east side of campus with the biggest "silent party" around. This unique two DJ super show has been wowing crowds around the world. Join the SLD office in the unforgettable experience you won't regret.

Library Star Performer Tour, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Sister Elizabeth Anne Sueltenfuss Library – Reference Desk

Tour the library at your leisure. Get out of the heat and into the Sueltenfuss Library: your oasis of knowledge. In this self-guided tour, meet the library staff and discover all of the resources the library has to offer. The library staff will show you tools for academic success and more. Attendees may enter a special drawing at the end of the tour.

On the go with Blackboard Mobile, 10-11 a.m., TLTC

This presentation will explain how to install the Blackboard app form the iTunes Store and access material via your smartphone. You will be shown how to post to discussion boards and download documents from the app.

Mission & Ministry Division Weekend College Open House/Cookout: Becoming a part of the Legacy, Noon-1 p.m., St. Anthony’s Courtyard
Because we understand that our Weekend College students and faculty live exceptionally full lives, with little time for relaxation and leisure, this is a fast, fun event designed primarily for them. The food will be ready at noon, so come meet the Division of Mission and Ministry staff and some of the Sisters of the Congregation of Divine Providence, who helped create the legacy of the University.
