Mark Alexander, DMA
Lecturer of Music
Dr. Mark Alexander teaches private piano and class piano at OLLU and accompanies both faculty and students. Dr. Alexander is a distinguished pianist whose performances have been recognized as technically brilliant, musically sophisticated, and full of expressive beauty. As a collaborative artist, he has performed with baritone William Warfield and flutist Bradley Garner. He was heard with baritone Timothy Jones on NPR's Performance Today on a historic first broadcast from the Alamo.
Dr. Alexander is currently adjunct piano faculty at San Antonio College. He has also served on the faculties of Southwestern University, Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, and the University of Texas at San Antonio. He holds a Master of Music and a doctoral degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Michigan.
