FALL 2012 ISSUE
Message from Family Relations Coordinator,
Alma C.Bustillo, MS
Wow, the fall semester has flown by, but the OLLU community has much to celebrate. Throughout the semester, students have participated in sporting events, theater productions, book readings, service projects and celebrations. They survived mid-term exams and have overcome challenges such as homesickness, time-management and class projects as they have traveled through their college journey. We are very proud of ALL of our students!
One of the greatest accomplishments for the Family Relations Office this semester has been Family Weekend. Attendance increased and we have been able to cultivate and continue wonderful relationships between families and the OLLU community.
Final exams are certainly on the minds of many as the semester draws to a close. Please remind your son or daughter to get plenty of rest and to utilize the resources available to them on campus. These resources include tutoring, the Writing Center and Counseling Services.
Finally, I would like to congratulate our upcoming graduates and their families. You have made the OLLU community very proud and there is always a place for you here on campus. Best of luck to all of you!
Featured Family: Melissa Munoz
When Melissa Munoz arrived at Our Lady of the Lake University this fall, she moved about campus with the ease and familiarity of someone who had been here for years. She didn’t have the timidity of a freshman. Melissa possessed the confidence of an upperclassman.
Message from President Tessa Martinez Pollack
As we come to the end of the year, it is a good time to reflect on the blessings we have received. Our Lady of the Lake University has accomplished a great deal over the last few years to grow and improve so that we can better serve your daughters and sons.
