Main Building reopened
With the beginning of the spring 2011 semester, classes returned to Main Building. More than two and a half years after a fire damaged the fourth floor, Main Building is completely renovated and features the latest in educational technology, student learning spaces and expanded and updated student dining and social spaces.
In reconstructing the almost 116-year-old building, Kell Muñoz Architects and Bartlett-Cocke General Contractors took extra steps to ensure that the building’s historic charm was maintained, that the building features state-of-the-art safety, climate and educational technology, and that the building is energy efficient and includes “green” building materials.
