WHY STUDY AT OLLU?
CRIMINAL JUSTICE

OLLU is a person-centered, diverse community that promotes personal growth and leadership development of its students in addition to knowledge acquisition and career preparation.  Classes are small, the environment is friendly, and students get to know their professors.  There are numerous opportunities to be involved in student activities, including student governance and specialty organizations related to majors or career goals as well as leisure interests.

The Criminal Justice program at Our Lady of the Lake prepares students for a variety of career paths, including preparation for higher education, work with public criminal justice agencies as well as with non-profit or for-profit organizations that serve specialized populations, such as at-risk children or recently released adult or juvenile offenders.

The program includes the opportunity to work in the community through service-learning experiences and requires each student to work with a community agency or organization in a practicum setting to learn more about a career option, develop professional skills, and have the opportunity for personal growth.  By the time you graduate, you will have the concrete experience to function like a professional from your first day on the job.
