In addition to OLLU’s accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to offer bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees, the university offers several programs that have specialized accreditations from national professional associations and councils. 

Communication Sciences and Disorders

OLLU’s graduate training program in Communication Sciences and Disorders is accredited in Speech-Language Pathology by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association  (ASHA): 2200 Research Boulevard #310, Rockville, Maryland 20850-3289. Kinesiology

Business

OLLU's undergraduate and graduate business programs are nationally accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). The ACBSP is the leading specialized accreditation body for business education.

Psychology

The Counseling Psychology PsyD program is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) and meets the specialty guidelines for the delivery of services. The San Antonio campus Master of Science degree in Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE) of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). The Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy (COAMFTE) is responsible for establishing standards of competence in clinical education for the profession of marriage and family therapy, and for the review and recognition of programs successfully meeting these standards. 

The Houston campus Master of Science degree in Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE) of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). The Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy (COAMFTE) is responsible for establishing standards of competence in clinical education for the profession of marriage and family therapy, and for the review and recognition of programs successfully meeting these standards. 

The Rio Grande Valley campus Master of Science degree in Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE) of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). The Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy (COAMFTE) is responsible for establishing standards of competence in clinical education for the profession of marriage and family therapy, and for the review and recognition of programs successfully meeting these standards. 

Social Work 

OLLU's Bachelor's and Master's in Social Work programs are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), which is recognized as the sole accrediting agency for social work education in the United States and its territories.
