• An earned baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution.

All candidates for admission to any graduate program must fulfill the general admission requirements listed below. Each graduate degree program has additional admission requirements. See specific admission requirements for program of interest.

• A grade point average of 2.50 for all undergraduate work (2.75 for MEd program and 2.75 for MA Special Education program) or 3.00 for the last 60 semester hours of undergraduate work.

• For U.S. citizens/Permanent Residents of the U.S. whose secondary education and undergraduate degrees were earned in any language other than English, a score of at least 550 on the Paper Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), 213 on the computer based test or 79 on the iBT/internet based test is required. Score reports cannot be more than two years old, and official score reports must be sent directly to OLLU from ETS. Contact international admissions for alternatives to the TOEFL.

• Submission of additional credentials/documents for specific degree program and the type of admission sought (see specific admission requirements for program of interest).

Note: Applicants for the Master of Arts in Communications and Learning Disorders (CDIS) are required to apply through a separate online application system. Visit the CDIS admissions requirements page for application information.

• Submit letter of recommendation for specific program (If required)
• Official transcripts from all accredited institutions attended 
(Download special instructions for submitting transcripts from outside the United States and transcripts not in English.)

• An official score on the Miller Analogies Test (MAT), Graduate Record Exam Aptitude Test (GRE) or Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), depending on field (see specific admission requirements for program of interest), taken within the last five years. • Application fee of $40.

For special admission the student must submit:
• A letter of good standing verifying master’s status at another institution in which the student is currently enrolled or

• An official transcript verifying the student holds a degree at the bachelor’s level or higher
