BILITERATE CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

Biliterate (English-Spanish) Degree Programs

 HEAR FROM A STUDENT...
Spanish-speaking students can earn traditional undergraduate degrees with dual-language emphasis through Our Lady of the Lake University’s Biliterate Certificate Program.

How it works
Students take specialized Spanish classes and fulfill a portion of their major/minor requirements by taking courses taught in Spanish. Following completion of program requirements, students earn a biliterate certificate that shows they have the valuable and marketable skills to speak, read and write professionally in either English or Spanish. Biliterate Certificate Program graduates are prepared for careers in environments where either language is spoken.

Admissions Requirements

Students applying for the biliterate certificate program must have an intermediate level of proficiency in Spanish and are required to submit the following:

Application for admission to Our Lady of the Lake University*

*Note: Additional applications are required for individuals who major in business, communication disorders, and social work. Contact these departments for more information.
