The English Department at OLLU offers undergraduate and graduate programs that let students explore a variety of authors and genres from Shakespeare to Mexican-American Literature while composition courses let them polish their skills in technical, professional and creative writing.  A distinguished faculty, small class sizes and innovative courses and programs add to the valuable benefits of earning your English degree at OLLU.

Earn a Bachelor of Arts in English and explore the wealth of literature courses that include Shakespeare, American and British literature, and innovative courses like Fiction and Film and Gothic Literature. Intermediate and secondary teaching certifications are available for students interested in a career teaching English.

For graduate students, the Master of Arts in English program offers five concentrations – the most of any other local university – that include a focus on literature, communication arts, education and writing.  Aimed at part-time students, program courses are available in the evening with select courses online. A flexible course schedule and a wide array of course offerings let you complete your degree full-time if you choose.
