Why a Catholic Education

Students receive a faith-based education inspired by our founders, the Sisters of the Congregation of Divine Providence, who believed and trusted in God’s Providence.

Our curriculum is suffused with the values of the Sisters. These values include social justice, service to others, care of the environment and commitment to the advancement of the disadvantaged, minorities and women.

These values are taught in the classroom and put into action. Through the University’s Mission and Ministry Office, students can explore different aspects of ministry in the community while developing career skills. OLLU’s Center for Service-Learning and Volunteerism creates volunteer opportunities that connect with educational goals. Through classes in religious studies, liturgies in our beautiful chapel and off-campus retreats, students get to know themselves as seekers as well as scholars.

An OLLU education is designed to prepare students to become servant leaders in the community, people who live ethically, learn throughout life and make a difference in the world.
