Curriculum Vitae

Areas of Expertise

My areas of expertise include penetration testing, malware analysis, digital forensics, voice and data security, intrusion detection, incidence response, cybersecurity policies and procedures, self-efficacy in information security, cybersecurity skills, and security education training awareness (SETA).

Teaching Philosophy

I approach teaching to prepare students for a smooth transition from academia to the IT Industry. To accomplish this goal, I develop the right course content, communicate the content clearly to students and constantly improve the content through regular student feedback. The overall process of preparing for teaching also helps me to stay current on subject matter and research in my area of expertise. Having taught multiple graduate and undergraduate courses (including conceptual and programming courses) in all three formats: face-to-face, online, and hybrid, I believe teaching is a rewarding experience both in terms of student success and personal growth in the chosen profession. I am highly committed to meeting my teaching responsibilities towards all the students. I have developed a passion for teaching and enjoy helping students achieve their learning and career goals. I believe in helping students learn the course content by following the learn-by-doing approach. I also believe that I need to help them transition from the school environment to work environment. I am always open to the idea of learning new ways to teach courses through professional development. I look forward to learning from my colleagues' experience to work collaboratively towards achieving departmental teaching goals.

Outside Interests

I enjoy traveling/driving, binge watching investigative/forensic shows (mostly related to aircrafts and space), interior designing techniques, and contributing to food bags/blanket service for the needy.
