<< BackOLLU names 'Outstanding Bilingual Students'
OLLU recognized area high school students with the 2012 “Outstanding Bilingual Student Award,” at a luncheon this week on campus. This
is the fifth year of the award program, which is sponsored by OLLU’s Bilingual
Education program.
Award recipients included 25 juniors and seniors from San
Antonio and surrounding school districts who met the following standards:
- Excelled at learning a foreign language
- Demonstrated a commitment to academic achievement
- Aspire to become classroom teachers
Award recipients received a certificate from OLLU for
their achievement and students that commit to attend OLLU will receive a $1,000
scholarship.
Students represent the following schools/school districts:
- St. Anthony’s Catholic High School
- Northside Independent School District
- Southwest Independent School District
- Edgewood Independent School District
- San Antonio Independent School District
- Alamo Height Independent School District
