We not only welcome students of all faiths, we very much want students with different perspectives. Though we are a Catholic university, Our Lady of the Lake University embraces diversity and promotes a community where religious questions and issues are discussed, honored and treated with the highest respect.

Our Catholic identity is shaped by our founders, the Sisters of the Congregation of Divine Providence and their unique belief and trust in God's Providence. We continue to live out this spirit and are confident that we are guided by the loving power of God. This confidence shapes everything we do at the University and prepares our graduates to make a difference in the world.

Our curriculum is suffused with the values of the Sisters of Divine Providence. These values include social justice, service to others, care of the environment, and commitment to the advancement of the disadvantaged, minorities, and women.

These values are taught in the classroom and put into action. Through the University's Mission and Ministry Office, you can explore different aspects of ministry in the community while developing career skills. OLLU's Center for Service-Learning and Volunteerism will open doors to volunteer opportunities that tie into your educational goals. Through classes in religious studies, liturgies in our beautiful chapel, off-campus retreats or conversations with friends and professors, you will come to know yourself not only as a scholar but as a seeker as well.

Your OLLU education has been designed to prepare you to become someone who serves and leads the community, behaves ethically, strives to learn throughout your life, and make a transformative difference in the world.
