GRADUATE CREDIT OPTION FOR NATIONAL SCIENCE TEACHERS ASSOCIATION

Our Lady of the Lake University graduate credit option for National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) conference attendees:

Our Lady of the Lake University is pleased to offer pass/fail graduate credits to conference attendees who complete the following requirements:

• Must be an officially registered NSTA conference attendee
• Must attend conference sessions totaling at least 15 documented hours for one  credit hour.

Must submit the following documents to Our Lady of the Lake University no later than Friday, May 31, 2013:
• Apply at www.ollusa.edu as a graduate special interest student (Please Fill out the “Special Interest” Section with NSTA 2013 in the “Personal or Professional” purpose line.)
• Payment of $100 for each graduate credit hour (maximum of two) (payment may be made by Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, American Express, or check payable to Our Lady of the Lake University).
• Official transcripts (sealed) from all other universities that you have attended
• Official highest conferred degree transcript (copies will work for initial registration, but sealed official transcripts will be required to complete the accreditation process)
• NSTA Conference transcript (available at no charge from the NSTA web site)*
• 500 word reflection that describes your professional growth and the impact it will have on your professional work as result of your attendance at the conference.
• Please email Stephanie S. Morales (ssmorales@ollusa.edu) stating that you are applying as a special interest student with the intent of earning graduate credits for attending NSTA

Ordering of Official OLLU Transcripts:
An official Our Lady of the Lake University transcript may also be ordered for $5, payment is due upon request.
Transcripts may be ordered by mail, by fax, email or in person.
To order your transcript by mail, fax or email, print the Transcript Request Form, complete the form and send to:

Requests are accepted in the Office of the Registrar, Walter Student Service Center (San Antonio campus). Occasionally office hours may vary; please call and verify the hours of operation for the day you plan your visit or check out Office Hours. You must provide a complete address if the transcript is to be mailed.

Issued to Student in a Sealed Envelope:
The office that asked for your transcript may require that it be issued to you in a sealed envelope. If you request this service, the transcript is stamped "issued to student in a sealed envelope" and is placed in an envelope with a seal across the back flap. Opening the envelope renders the transcript invalid for many purposes.

* Each conference attendee has the option to participate in a variety of sessions. To create a NSTA conference transcript, attendees must evaluate each of the sessions they have attended by logging on to www.nsta.org/evaluations. Transcripts can be retrieved approximately three weeks after the last day of the conference by visiting NSTA’s website at learningcenter.nsta.org.
