Hours of Duty:
Police Officers patrol the University 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

Important note to remember:
When the main police office is closed, all the incoming calls are forwarded to the Police Department’s two-way radio system.  The system only allows for 45 seconds of talk time.  Please speak clearly and specific of what you need.  If the officers are not able to assist you with the information you need, they may give you another number to call.

Special Events
To schedule security for an event, contact Jan Hull at jmhull@lake.ollusa.edu  with the following information at least one week prior to the event:
•Date of event
•Starting time
•Ending time
•Type of event (i.e. wedding, athletic event, reception, etc.)
•Number of attendees expected
•Alcohol Served (Y / N)
•Name and phone number of the Point of Contact (POC)

Once you have provided the above information, you will be contacted as soon as possible with how to make payment arrangements and further instructions. Cost starts at $30 an hour, with a two-hour minimum. Payment arrangements should be made prior to the event.

Note: A fee may be accessed for cancellations and late requests.

 

Lost and Found

There are several lost and found areas on campus. All valuable property submitted to other areas should be brought to the University Police Department located in Walter Center. The Police Department will log the items and attempt to contact the owner.

To claim lost property, individuals must present a valid photo ID and accurately describe the property. Property items not claimed after 90 days will be donated to nonprofit agencies. Items considered a health hazard will be destroyed.
