SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS
RENOVATION, RETENTION AND RESEARCH PROGRAM
(SMR3)
Through the
Science and Mathematics Renovation, Retention and Research (SMR³) program,
community college students who plan to major in chemistry, biology or
mathematics at OLLU participate in an academic enrichment and
undergraduate program and earn a stipend of up to $5,000. The program
is funded by the Department of Education under the Strengthening
Educational Opportunities for Hispanic Serving Institutions.
This summer, students participated in both programs:
- the Research Program for upper-class undergraduate students, and
- the Summer Enrichment Program open to current science and mathematics majors.
See photos below from both group's experiences and visit the Application Page to learn more about the SMR3 Program and to download application materials.
More photos and student comments will be added soon!
