OLLU Sociology faculty is committed to informative and creative instruction.  We engage students’ curiosity and talents trough various audio and visual methods.  These tactics include classroom discussions and debates, use of computer, web, and video technology, physical activities, arts and crafts, and more. The end result is that the classroom experience is not only informative but also fun and enlightening.


: Protecting Future Generations
This website was created by Environmental Sociology students and includes information on the environmental issue of pollution.

The site examines the root causes of pollution and outlines strategies to help alleviate the problem. Resources listed include recycling opportunities, and the site highlights a community organization that advocates for social, economic and environmental justice.

An impressive presentation created by Environmental Sociology students that highlights a local current issue of interest and looks at the efforts of the community group, Energía Mía, that is dedicated to protecting the environment from nuclear energy. The students' presentation points out the effects of nuclear energy and examines safer alternatives like energy efficiency programs and wind and solar power.
