Our Lady of the Lake University’s Center for Information Assurance Management and Leadership and Delta Risk present this four-part series on protecting information systems in small and medium-sized business.

The series will help you:
Indentify threats to your information systems
Develop external and internal policies to help protect systems
Take steps to protect against losses to your information systems

Sessions include
Friday, Oct. 7 – Business Continuity and Risk Planning for Business Success
Friday, Oct. 14 – Managing Emerging Threats and Technologies
Friday, Oct. 21 – Role of Internal and External Policies in Information Security
Friday, Oct. 28 – Resilience Solutions for Information Security

The seminars are targeted to business leaders rather than information technology professionals, and are specifically intended to educate business leaders on their critical role in protecting business processes by protecting information systems.

Protecting information systems from loss is a management problem, not a technical problem; whether that loss results from disaster, equipment failure, or cyber attack. This seminar series acknowledges that limited information technology (IT) expertise in many small- and medium-size businesses might present significant challenges in protecting their information systems, and provides the education and training needed for business leaders to protect their information systems. Industry and education experts in information security and disaster planning will provide business leaders with the tools and skills needed through lectures, discussions, and practical exercises.

The cost is $10 per session and includes lunch.
