FINANCIAL AID AND SCHOLARSHIPS
GRADUATE ADMISSIONS
Scholarships, grants, graduate assistantships and financial aid are available for graduate students. University scholarships and assistantships are supplemented by private scholarships and federal and state grants and financial aid.
Federal financial aid is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until all funds are exhausted.
You
should begin the application process at the same time that you apply to the graduate program

The financial aid programs below are based on need unless otherwise indicated. Financial aid recipients must maintain good academic standing in accordance with OLLU’s Satisfactory Academic Progress policy.
Federal Programs:
• Unsubsidized Stafford Student Loan
$12,000 maximum
• Subsidized Stafford Student Loan
$ 8,500 maximum
• TEACH Grant
Student must be enrolled in an eligible program and agree to teach in a high-need, low-income elementary or secondary school for at least four years within eight years of completing the program for which the Teach Grant was awarded.
$ 4,000 maximum
State Programs:
• Tuition Equalization Grant
Full-time attendance, Texas residency, based on need and availability of funds
$ 3,808 maximum
University Programs:
• Tuition Discount - Public School District Employees (Full time)
Open to all full-time employees of public school districts (elementary, middle and high school)
20-percent tuition discount
• Military Scholarship
Open to active duty military personnel and spouses

• College of Arts and Sciences (English department) Assistantship
Pay is equivalent to tuition for six credit hours or half time attendance per term. Work two hours per week for every hour of tuition paid. (Example: Six hours of credit = 12 hours of work per week).
• School of Professional Studies Assistantships
Pay is equivalent to tuition for six credit hours or half time attendance per term. Work two hours per week for every hour of tuition paid. (Example: Six hours of credit = 12 hours of work per week).
• PsyD Scholarship
Maximum of tuition for 10 semester hours (fall, spring, and summer). Renewable. Contact the Psychology Department at 210-434-6711, ext. 2374.
• Worden School of Social Service Assistantships

• Monthly Payment Program
