Background and Accomplishments:
Nina Patrizio Quiñones, MA, focuses her research on Latin America, language training, testing and curriculum development. She is the original author of the guidelines on teaching foreign languages in the U.S., produced through the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL). She co-wrote the grant for the Biliterate Certificate Program (BCP) and contributed to the grant for Project Latin America (PLA). In addition, she designed curriculum for OLLU’s Psychology department Spanish courses. She served as the director of OLLU's Biliterate Certificate Program (BCP) from 2006-2008.
As a senior officer for the U.S. Government, Professor Patrizio-Quiñones held high-level positions in language education such as deputy chief language training division; chief program instructional, evaluation, and development division.
