Biography:
Leda M. Barnett, PhD, has been a member of the Our Lady of the Lake University Political Science Department faculty since 2005. She teaches American and Texas Government and Politics, Comparative Government, Latin American Politics, Mexican Americans and Politics in the Southwest, Environmental Policy and Law, Research Methods, and Political Geography.
Before teaching at OLLU, Dr. Barnett was on the faculty at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and the University of Alabama. She also taught high school Spanish at Pascagoula High School in Mississippi and she has served as a research intern at the Instituto de Derecho Ambiental y Desarrollo Sustenable in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
Dr. Barnett is a member of Phi Beta Delta Honor Society of International Scholars, Gamma Beta Phi National Honor Society, Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honor Society, Sigma Delta Pi National Spanish Honor Society, and the American Political Science Association.
