POLITICAL SCIENCE DEPARTMENT

The best way to make an informed decision about a school and discipline is to visit the school, check out its facilities, and methods of instruction.  The following student testimonials are provided to assist in that process:

I believe OLLU is the best place I could have gone to study political science. Our Lady of the Lake fosters an environment of free expression, and the students are very open-minded to all types of discussion. The professors at OLLU, especially in the Political Science department, are approachable and supportive, which has allowed me to make a strong connection with my professors. I feel that my professors have helped equip me with the knowledge and motivation to seek a career in government. I am confident that what I have learned and experienced at OLLU will guide me to success!”
- Joshua Check Summer 2007 POLS Graduate

“Through coursework completed in the Department of Political Science at Our Lady of the Lake University, I have been provided a lens to view the world.  The program enabled me to understand politics’ far- reaching effects, not just domestically but worldwide.  I am prepared to continue my education in graduate school or pursue one of many job opportunities provided by a Political Science degree.” Kathy Esquivel, Senior, President of OLLU’s Political Science Student Association

“The Faculty in the Political Science Department are approachable and knowledgeable in the field of politics and government.  Classes offered are interesting and encompass local, state, national, and international issues in government.  OLLU's Political Science program provided me with the knowledge to succeed in the real world.”
Sergio Mejia, Spring 2007 POLS Graduate

“I believe OLLU has an excellent Political Science curriculum which applies to real world issues. The class sizes are small enabling students and professors to interact more successfully in class.  Best of all, the program enhances your views and awareness of the world around you.”

Dorian Prosser, Fall 2007 POLS Graduate
