5/17:  OLLU celebrated graduation with memories of the fire still fresh in mind but with a positive attitude for the future. President Pollack addressed the graduates, followed by speaker Fernando Reyes, this year's Rey Feo and a strong believer in education. He announced a $10,000 donation to OLLU's rebuilding fund. At the end, faculty donned plastic construction hats to signal that the rebuilding has already begun.





5/16:  OLLU graduate Krystal Munoz, a double psychology and art major, reflects on the fire and the future. She is accompanied by her mother and family members at the ring blessing ceremony and prepared for the graduation liturgy that followed.





5/15:  Fox Tech High School in San Antonio, led by OLLU alum Joe M. Gonzales, a Fox Tech college advisor, organized local organizations to support Our Lady of the Lake University. A May 14 press conference announced the initiative.






5/13:  H-E-B Disaster Relief Unit provides breakfast, lunch and dinner to OLLU students, faculty and staff on Tuesday.





5/12:  Sister Charlotte Kitowski, CDP, archivist in the Our Lady of the Lake Convent, shares a touching letter from a former student.






5/9:  OLLU student Ashley Trevino returned to her room in Theresian Hall on Friday.





5/9:  Donations and support keep rolling into OLLU on Friday following the May 6 fire.





5/9:  Sister Imelda Gonzalez, CDP, reflects on the message of unity that she shared with the Lake community during the May 8 Mass.





5/8:  Father David Gutierrez of OLLU blesses members of the San Antonio Fire Department during Thursday's Mass in Sacred Heart Chapel.  Then they returned to work.

 



5/8:  KABB-TV's Sylvia Rincon interviews local 89-year-old man (with no ties to OLLU) who donated a $500 check. 





5/6:  President Pollack addresses the Lake community on May 6 during the fire.
