Internships are a vital component of the Mass Communication curriculum. Students are required to complete at least one 150-hour internship in their desired field.
In the past few years, OLLU students have completed internships in the areas of print reporting, ad design, TV news, video production, online journalism, public relations and more.
Some of the placements have included: 210SA, The (San Antonio) Express-News, The Current, La Prensa, mysanantonio.com, Gemini Ink, Institute of Texan Cultures, Association for the Advancement of Mexican Americans, Laredo Public Library, Witte Museum, KTSM Channel 9 (El Paso), Juice magazine, KLRN-TV, KSAT 12, WOAI, Cox Radio, GRE Creative Communications, SAY Si, Calliope Talent Management, and Shootz Production Group.
