An old adage holds that “Managers do things right, leaders do the right thing.” But how does one learn how to select the “right thing” for a group or organization to do? If it were simple, great leaders would be commonplace –they are not.
The Leadership Studies Department at Our Lady of the Lake University offers degrees to help develop or enhance leadership skills. Programs are available for emerging leaders at the undergraduate level, and for advanced leadership at the master’s and doctoral level for professionals in a wide range of fields including education, public service, business, and healthcare administration. The interdisciplinary degrees combine theory and application in order to graduate "practitioner-scholars" who can provide enlightened leadership in communities and at the workplace.
The Leadership Studies Department offers degrees in weekday, weekend and online formats. The program serves working professionals from San Antonio, Austin, Houston, Laredo, Rio Grande Valley and across South Texas.
