“Promoting friendship, unity, and mental and physical fitness through music and dance.” –Janice Mendelson.
The International Folk Culture Center (IFCC) offers a variety of programs and activities--including international folk dancing, contra dancing, belly-dancing, square dancing, salsa, "culture kitchens" and more--that encourage friendship and understanding through participation and sharing in dance, cuisine, music and art.
Objectives of IFCC are to promote the preservation of dance heritage, create compassion among cultures, and avoid conflict between people. It is impossible to feel hatred or resentment while holding hands and dancing together.
