MS-Information Systems & Security

The Master of Science in Information Systems and Security (MS-ISS) at OLLU is certified by the National Security Agency (NSA). The program emphasizes innovative programming and technology mastery and takes a practical, hands-on approach to the subject, including database management, systems analysis, computer network security, information assurance, and certification and accreditation.

OLLU has been designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education (CAE-CDE) by the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). It is part of an elite group of colleges and universities nationwide to receive the designation.

The online format, which can be completed in one year, allows information technology professionals the flexibility to continue working while earning an advanced degree. It allows students to work and live anywhere while they prepare to protect organizational information from theft, corruption, and natural disaster.

The Computer Information Systems and Security program is tied to the federal government's objectives that encourage training and development of skilled professionals in order to protect the nation's information technology infrastructure. Graduates have attained a near-perfect passing rate in national certification exams such as the CISSP.
