Conference Presentation

The OLLU Honors Program is a member of the National Collegiate Honors Council and the Great Plains Regional Council, giving Honors students opportunities to present research to other Honors Program students and faculty at both national and regional conferences.  Ten OLLU Honors students presented papers in April 2011 at the Great Plains Honors Conference in Arlington, Texas.  Three OLLU Honors students presented their research in November at the 2012 NCHC Conference in Boston, Massachusetts.  Plans are underway for students to present at the fall 2014 NCHC Conference in Denver.

Past research projects have included study of the historical foundations of the founders of Our Lady of the Lake University and oral history collection of these founders, community education efforts for service organizations, original films created by Honors students, analyses of personality and bilingualism, and many more.
